Our Story

Growing the Dance Community

From a single Galway class to communities across Ireland.

2010-2015

The Beginning

Started with a small Latin dance class in Galway. Word spread fast. By 2015, we'd moved to a bigger studio and had our first partner dance evening at a local parish hall.

2016-2019

Expanding Across Ireland

Opened regular classes in Killarney and Tralee. Started hosting monthly social evenings. Built partnerships with parish halls and community centers. The community grew to over 200 active dancers.

2020-2023

Digital & Beyond

Adapted during challenging times with online classes. Came back stronger with hybrid options. Reached dancers across 8 locations. Now we're focused on deepening community connections and bringing in new generations of dancers.

2024-Present

Community Maturity

450+ active members. Established dance communities in Killarney and Tralee with genuine social bonds. Regular workshops, consistent social evenings, and a supportive environment where dancers of all levels feel welcome.

Questions?

Common Questions

Do I need experience to join a workshop?

Not at all. Our workshops start from absolute beginner level. We're designed for people stepping into Latin dance for the first time. The instructors move at a pace that works for everyone.

What should I wear to a dance class?

Comfortable clothes that let you move. Most people wear casual athletic wear or dance-specific outfits. Shoes are important — proper dance shoes help with balance and footwork. We'll give you specifics when you sign up.

Are there partner dance events if I don't have a partner?

Yes. At social evenings, people rotate partners throughout the night. It's how you meet people and build connections. You'll dance with different partners and get more experience that way.

How often can I attend classes?

Classes run multiple times per week at each location. You can attend once a week or several times — whatever fits your schedule. Many people come twice weekly and see faster progress.

What's the age range in your classes?

We focus on dancers 50+, but we've got people in their 60s, 70s, and beyond. The oldest active member is 82. Age isn't the point — it's about staying active and having fun with people you vibe with.

Is dancing actually good exercise?

It's genuine cardio. Sustained movement, footwork precision, balance control — your heart rate goes up, you'll feel it. Plus you're building coordination and strength without it feeling like a gym session.
